During the autumn foliage season, Mount Takao is incredibly crowded. The area from Takaosanguchi Station to the cable car station feels like a busy office district during rush hour, and even the summit is bustling, making it difficult to find a place to sit and eat your rice ball.
　 However, on the route starting about 30 minutes south of Takaosanguchi Station along Route 20, climbing Mount Taikoji, Mount Nakazawa, and Mount Konpira, you'll hardly encounter anyone, allowing you to walk through a quiet forest in contemplation. (It's a secret!)
　 This time, I hiked this route, then crossed the Otaru Pass, climbed Mount Kobotoke-Shiroyama, and from there aimed for the summit of Mount Takao?a complete loop around the southern side of the Takao mountain range. 　(Nihedon @ KesaranPasaran Lab)
