yTrekking & Viewz@ Mt.Noudake - Mt.Yaeyama (Yamanashi pref.)

Located just west of Lake Sagami, the mountains of Nodake and Yaeyama offer a truly cost-effective trekking route: "close to Tokyo, relatively easy to hike, and yet offering spectacular views."

My chronic gout had recently flared up again, and since I had only just recovered, I decided to hike Nodake and Yaeyama this time, choosing a mountain I could enjoy without overexerting myself while checking the recovery of my gout.@(Nihedon @ KesaranPasaran Lab)

šThe trekking courses and the views are both wonderful.š
I was able to fully enjoy a "philosophical trek," taking each step while reflecting on myself.
Looking back, I could see the beautiful figure of Mount Fuji.
View from the summit of Mt.Yaeyama
Observatory of Mt.Yaeyama
Good atmosphere !

šVarious things I found in the mountainsš

At the trailhead, a statue of "Bato-kannon" (Hayagriva=A god with a horse's head) was enshrined.

Such a gentle expression on a "Bato-kannon" statue is truly rare.

Originally, Bato-kannon's role was to "remove suffering and evil thoughts from people," so it had a "stern expression."

However, as time passed, its role shifted to "mourning dead cows and horses," and it seems that statues of Bato-kannon with such "gentle expressions" came to be created.

There was a bell near the observation deck!

Of course, I tried playing with it, and the sound resonated beautifully, fitting perfectly with the breathtaking scenery beyond the bell.

I get so happy when I find mushrooms!

I looked it up using my usual app (PictureThis), and it seems to be a mushroom from the Polyporaceae family.

This is apparently a member of the genus *Hypholoma*.

I also like the look of ivy with its autumn leavesō

According to the app, it seems to be "American ivy."

I found a "D?sojin" (roadside guardian deity) along the road after descending the mountain.

There's a stone monument for the "Twenty-Third Night Gathering," but I wonder if the custom of "continuing meetings without sleeping on the 23rd night" still exists in this area?

šEating and drinking in front of Uenohara Stationš
It has such an inviting appearance that you just have to go in!
I really like the interior design of the shop.
The "motsu nikomi" (stewed offal) here uses white miso.
My go-to dish is "fried horse mackerel."
White curry rice. It's simply delicious!
