【Yokai & Mystery】 Yodobashi Brdg haunted by the spirits of Murdered Servants. (Tokyo pref.)
During the late Muromachi period (around the 16th century), a wealthy man who lived in this area is said to have killed his servants one by one and thrown them off this Yodobashi Brdg on his way back from hiding his vast fortune, in order to keep the hiding place a secret.
Naturally, the vengeful spirits of the murdered servants became haunted by this bridge, and as a result, a legend persists that the wealthy man's daughter was transformed into a snake. (Nihedon @ KesaranPasaran Lab)

There is a legend that, regretting her fate, the daughter committed suicide by drowning herself in a large pond that once stood on the grounds of this shrine.
Furthermore, according to one legend, a girl who transformed into a Big Black Snake took up residence in this pond.

Until 2009, there was a hot spring in the neighborhood from which black water gushed out. People rumored that a Big Black Snake must have emerged as a hot spring.
