yTown & Gourmetz@ Searching for turtles in "Arakawa Nature Park" (Tokyo pref.)

Arakawa Nature Park is a fairly large park built on an artificial ground level above the Mikawashima Water Reclamation Center of the Tokyo Metropolitan Sewerage Bureau.

Just recently, I learned online that there are turtles in the pond there, so I immediately went to visit on a scorching hot Saturday. Would I find any Japanese pond turtles? @(Nihedon @ KesaranPasaran Lab)

The pond with turtles is here.

š There are tons of turtles in the cross-shaped pond. š

I spent about an hour circling the pond, and it seemed like all the turtles there were red-eared sliders.

It almost feels like the map of Tokyo's turtle population is now completely covered in red lines...
