【Town & Gourmet】 Get the courage from the Ishinomori Shoutaro Memorial Museum. (Miyagi pref.)
The Great East Japan Earthquake struck on March 11, 2011.
Amidst the widespread despair throughout Japan, I saw the news that the Shotaro Ishinomori Manga Museum in Ishinomaki City had withstood the massive floods and remained almost intact.
For our generation, who were thrilled by shows like "Cyborg 009" and "Kamen Rider," this news must have given us courage.
I had always wanted to visit once the damage subsided, and I finally did so in October 2015. (Nihedon @ KesaranPasaran Lab)
This is a diorama of Tokiwa-so, the apartment building where Shoutaro Ishinomori lived during his younger days.
Despite being close to the coast, this building withstood a major flood!
